I haven't had cable for ten years. I watch a couple hours of TV a day, and I try to spend other hours doing constructive things. It seems that many people who have and watch cable TV regularly are couch potatoes with little to discuss outside of their favorite programs. However, I really loved "Sex and the City;" watched the whole series on DVD.

Watching TV for longer hours is certainly harmfull to youe mental/physical (financial as well). However you can predecide your limit (programs/time) & avoid crossing that limit. Now on financial side, you can save on your monthly subscription fees by watching TV on your PC.It is free.Only thing you have to do is to install a small program (software) on your PC (No TV tuner card, nothing). Then you can watch about 3000+ TV/Radio channels across the world.

I really enjoyed Sex and the City too, but TV really is a waste of time and money. You can spend hours in front of it and get nothing done except raise the electric bill and don't forget the cable bill. I've stopped watching TV for a couple months now and I 've read many books and wrote a few myself. So I guess what I'm getting at is cable is only good for eating money.

The tv shows are something you can discuss with your friends at work or school. Other than that, its good to limit the amount of time you watch it. It can suck you in and keep you from doing important things. I do think a lot of people are becoming couch potatoes.

It can be a waste of time. For me, i dont really watch tv so to pay $89-$100 a month on cable is pointless. But for couch potatoes, they need cable or theyll die. How they afford it i dont know

I live in a valley. If I don't get cable, I get nothing at all. I'm faced with paying a $49.99 bill just to get basic cable. It stinks. The programming is simply awful. A friend of mine visited me for a few months and paid for all of the premium channels. She said she couldn't live without them. I could barely live with them. As soon as spring breaks, I'm going to have the cable disconnected. Have someone you know tape Sex in the City for you.

Most TV is a waste of time. But if you're going to watch, satellite is a better value than cable.

feels like after the enormous change to digital from Analog (to launch the spectrum which isn't even getting used!) there is been greater conventional commercial breaks. i become happy with 60+ channels of issues i could be possibly to reveal screen. The history Channel has its uncomplicated proportion of propaganda products. no longer an afternoon is going by applying without some Hitler become a undesirable, undesirable guy specific.

it depends on your necessity for it. if there's a program in the cable tv that can make a better person or that can enhance your life, then it's not a waste.

Yes there was a time that t.v was free but idiots like the ones that pay for music now showed the government just how much money they can take and therefore made our society a failure
