The biggest lie is that we are in control of everything, and serve no one. The truth is that we cannot escape from serving. We serve our parents and teachers when we are young, we serve our boss, children, friends, and spouse later, and we are always serving the government. We even serve our pets. We are not in control, even of our own bodies. People say they are, but then they get a toothache, and it completely stops them in their tracks. Or they have to go to the bathroom. And even if you somehow manage to master every environment and obtain the freedom to serve only yourself, you are still not in control, because a tornado, earthquake, or flood can kill you in a minute. And in the end, all-consuming time will take you anyway.
