(i'm 16)
It makes me laugh sort of, because they are spending so much money on stuff that they'll wear once and then it will either be out of style, grow out of it, or hate it tomorrow.
i dont understand why anyone of any age would buy ripped jeans for $48 a pop or $25 for a regular tank top with the brand plastered all over it. (don't get me wrong..i just rip my own jeans)
I was in American Eagle one time and they were selling a 1/2 centimeter wide leather strip (i guess supposed to be a bracelet?) for $8.
It seems like people have more money than they know what to do with it these days.
(I used to be 12 and shopping at those stores...and I definitely regret it. Now I have tomato red hoodie and bright pink and tomato red sweat pants with "AEROPOSTALE" all over it. )
But Old Navy is pretty good with prices.

When I was 10-13, I preferred clothes from the adult's section because I liked the fit more (i.e. longer shirts, no small hip). Plus, most of the stuff from the girl's section seemed to have glittery stuff on it. >___< (You can actually find some nice, inexpensive stuff at Hollister and AEO if you have a sharp eye and live in the clearance section.)
I don't really mind seeing them as long as they don't give that "I'm a mature woman already, dammit" vibe or spend way too much. But there was this one time Hollister where I saw literally this little 10 or 11 year old girl all decked out in A&F/Hollister stuff who then reached in her purse to answer her cell phone (and it sure as hell wasn't a call from her mommy). But the creepiest part was that she wasn't with anyone else in the store i.e. no group of friends or family members. Almost everyone in the room gave a "wtf?" look on his/her face.

10 years old is a little young...Can they even fit the clothes? Well probably considering the clothes are made for people who are like size 0 and under. (Well maybe not AEO...but Hollister and AF, yes.)
I honestly don't care though if they shop their or not. The clothes at the stores are getting EXTREMELY boring, like Jeans and a T-Shirt...wow? Young kids at A&F is a little weird because their clothes are slightly suggestive. But the other two are just as bad as JCPenny in my opinion.
If the parents are willing to pay 30 bucks for a t-shirt then let them shop where they want.

Shop where you want. If those are the clothes YOU like and feel comfortable in (and fit in), then there's no reason you can't shop there.
A little kid shopping at the same stores at me isn't intimidating nor does it anger me. When I shop I tend not to notice the people and just focus on the clothes. ;)

I think that tweens nowadays are wanting to grow up too fast and it's pretty sad. What happened to shopping at ralph lauren and buying cute little dresses when you were 10.

you want to achieve weight. the suitable weight on your top and age is ninety pounds. yet try procuring at Pacsun, Charlottle Russe, warm topic (ability Ranger tees), moist Seal, Kohls... and an excellent type of cases on line shops have more effective sizes to be sure on from, like an XXS in stead of an XS.

i hate it when those spoiled lil brats shop at A&F, AEO, and hollister (abercrombie kids is fine) because it seems like they are trying really hard to fit it and to be a teen, like those lil kids walking around with low rise jeans, midriffs, etc, you know what i mean, they think they are all that.
if you're decent then it doesn't matter, whatever fits your style and body best.
