What would be the reason why a virgin doesn't bleed after her first time?

Hymen didn't break because it was already broken or the hymen is still intact, just stretched. You may also have been more relaxed than some girls.
Most common reasons the hymen can break before sex:
Tampons or any other object which has been inserted into the vagina previously
Physical stress from sports, etc.
Emotional stress
Mine was already broken my first time and I still bled. I was nervous and not very lubricated. Consider yourself a lucky girl.

The hymen may have already been busted in trauma ( it happens a lot). There are all kinds of different hymen arrangements down there that are perfectly normal. Maybe yours is a little different. Bleeding after first intercourse does not ALWAYS happen.

Bleeding is from the hymen breaking.. Every woman is different, and some hymens are very thin and full of holes. So, not every woman shows signs of blood.

Using tampons already 'popped the cherry'. I didn't bleed on my first time.

Because her hymen was already broken by another method such as a tampon, finger, vibrator or certain types of exercise.

Penis wasnt big or your hymen has already been stretched from sports or riding a bike etc.
