That's so awesome! You two will love it. When my boyfriend graduated from high school we went to Walt Disney World. It was his first time and my first time seven years. We stayed for nine days at Disney's Polynesian Resort and had the most fun, romantic, best time of our lives. Now, we're going every summer. You don't even have to leave Walt Disney World property. There's enough things to do on property to keep you occupied for at least a month. The best thing, if you're arriving by plane Disney's Magical Express will bring you from the airport to your Resort, and then there's transportation to all the theme parks and other things on property. I would definitely recommend you look into staying at Disney's Polynesian Resort if you can afford it. I swear, room 1516 in the Concierge Longhouse has the best view on property, and all the rooms have been recently renovated.
Anyway, you should really check out the Walt Disney World website if you haven't already. There are sections for each of the Resorts, sections for each of the theme parks, water parks, Downtown Disney, and all the recreational activites. You can see all the different attractions, entertainment, and dining options available. And you can order a really great vacation planning DVD. It's free! Another website that's extremely helpful for planning a Walt Disney World vacation - the AllEarsNet.

Remember, it's always best to book your vacation directly through the Walt Disney World Company. It's the easiest way and often the most affordable.
Hope I could help! Have fun!

It depends on what you can afford. Disney Resorts start out at about $89 a night in the off-season (at the All Star) and can be as high as $400 a night (any of Disney's Delux Resorts). My favorite Disney Resort is a Delux Resort. It is the Animal Kingdom Lodge. You can watch zebras and giraffs right outside your window! And they have amazing food!
If you cannot afford a Disney World Resort, I recommend any of the following instead:
The Best Western Lakeside - located on Hwy 192 in Kissimmee - by Marker 4
Sheraton Safari Hotel - located on Apopka Vineland Rd - down the street from Downtown Disney.
The Walt Disney World will take up a lot of your time - there is SO much to see and do! But there are other great area attractions as well! Universal Studios' Islands of Adventure park is the best place for roller coaster enthusiasts! Sea World is also fun (The Krakken coaster is amazing). Cocoa beach is nearby and has great surfing. Siesta Key Beach is an hour and 45 minute drive south and is absolutely breathtaking - my favorite Florida beach!
Great clubbing is available at Downtown Disney and in Downtown Orlando - The Roxy is a lot of fun.
Daytona Speedway is also a fun place to visit, as is Kennedy Space Center!

If your going for a Disney experience you should stay within the Disney resort area. Almost all the resorts are themed so you can pick based on what your interested in. I like the wilderness resort. It has free and easy access to all of Disney's parks. It looks like a giant tree house but the rooms are nice. Another great hotel is Gaylord palms. This hotel is awsome! It has a lake with a pirate ship and a little rain forest all in closed so the rooms overlook it. Its worth taking a look. Its also in a nice little area. 5 min from Disney, 2 min from tourist things on 192, and 10 min from universal.

Well, i depends on. If you are planning to do a mostly disney vacation then stay on property. Micheal Eisner's Favorite hotel is the Yatch and Beach Club. Personally i would choose one of the hotels that is on the Seven Seas Lagoon (Grand Flordian, Contemporary Resort, and the Polynesian Resort). If you are planning to do more than just disney you can stay at the Ritz Carlton Orlando. If you are leaning more towards the Universal Studios area i would suggest the Hard Rock Hotel.

i definitely would recommend a hotel owned by Walt Disney, it will cost a little more but i went and believe it is worth it. but if you guys are older you should for sure go to Epcot there is a ton of things to see and do there like a whole bunch of countries that have restaurants with food from that country and gift shops

The Boardwalk Resort in Disney is really awesome. There is a walkway and a waterway-boat to both Epcot and MGM Studios.
