i'm from beaumont (lived there all my life) and i've never once seen a tarantula...

I lived in Beaumont for the first 20 years of my life, and I never saw one. However, doing a little research, apparently there are over 50 species of tarantulas native to the southwestern and central portions of the United States. They are most visible in parts of Texas during the spring which is there mating season.

i lived in Houston for abot 15 years and never saw a trantulas. the only time i saw one in texas was when i went to the hill ountry outside of San Antonio. i am not sure if they live in Beaumont, but i would think not.

Don't worry about tarantulas,be more concerned with black widows and brown recluse spiders.Their bites are much more serious and they are not uncommon in the Gulf Coast area.

Yes, they live all throughout the South and pretty much all of America.
