Destroy Congress if amnesty is passed?

We elect these people and pay taxes, and they reward the illegals here by giving them amnesty! What is wrong with these people? Are we that stupid to allow this to happen?

Oh, would we really be at a loss without them? Tell that to the 84 hospitals that closed down in California because the losers bankrupt the system. Your town is next, so lets keep giving them the story about how great they are. Gee, do you think America would loose some weight if there were no fast food places for a few weeks w/out the illegals?

No, actually, I think they are very, very smart. Do you realize what a disaster to our economy it would be if all the Mexicans, and all their families, went back to Mexico at once? Everyone who is not actually a US citizen, plus all of their family who are either sufficiently angry or sufficiently dependent upon the non-citizen? Do you know who would be running the fast food shops, the warehouses, the landscaping, the day care and so on so forth? Where would you find a handyman or day laborer once they are gone?

If we had to replace the entire body of illegal immigrants and their dependents AND THEIR SYMPATHIZERS in one fell swoop, we would be on emergency status in no time. And don't forget that a great many of these people were in fact an active part of our economy, both as producers and as consumers. You'd be begging them to come back within a week!

Face it, they have entered on the basis of taking jobs no one else wanted at wages no one else would accept, and they deserve a chance at the American dream as a reward for their efforts. Not a promise, mind you; just a chance.

I voted Democrat in November and voted for hopes that they would look at the middle class Americans points of view and be in their shoes. But there's something that tells me that both the Democrats and Republicans are going to keep on ignoring the things we have to face and we'll be a mess. No illegals should be allowed to live in the States. I'd do what Eisenhower did which was have them work here 9 to 5 and have a bus drop them off at the border at the end of the day and pick them up the next day. But if this sounds soft, then we can have average Americans like you or me go and sweat in the heat and do our jobs. I'm not fond of amnesty at all and I think it's just a trick that big business does so they can be favored and not the citizens. By the way, if the Democrats allow for amnesty before 08, I'm voting Libertarian!

Did someone actually say that eliminating illegals would harm our enconomy. Thats so twisted that i have no idea where you got it. Illegals use more government services like welfare and dont even pay income taxes. Are you aware that in 2002 illegals used 10 billion dollars more in government services than the taxes they paid. Most illegals are unskilled workers. That never helps an economy. The jobs that illegals take are just jobs that Americans would do if wages were not aritificially depressed. If employers know they'e are hiring people who will work for almost nothing, we wouldn't wages be low. How about that facotry that was raided for illegals. The next day there was a line of Americans outside waiting to be hired. So these criminals help our economy?

We are not able to present unlawful immigration. I am anticipated to reside with within the legislation. The best thing to do is to donate a few dollars to Minuteman HQ.com so they can continue building their high security fence. The area where the fence is already up crossings have gone down to zero. Its up to you , the politicians are too busy playing golf at their exclusive country club.
