Fish-Net Stockings?

Do you think that they are ok to wear to Church?

I would probably advise against the black ones. Although, they do make some nude colored fishnets that are actually very classy and trendy and I adore them.

We're required to wear hosiery at work, i'm 19 and wouldn't be caught dead in real live granny hose... so I wear the nude DKNY fishnets. they're fabulous, i'm tellin ya!!

Are they ok to wear to church?

I've seen a variety clothing styles in church - don't think I've ever seen fish-net stockings.

I never found them very comfortable either.

If you are asking then NO.
It is not appropriate and no matter what anyone says about being able to wear what ever you want....have some respect.
I love them but have enough class to know where something is out of place. Dont go in looking like the recently saved hooker. Stay focused on why you are there and spend five dollars for a normal pair for church. Class & RESPECT to your faith.

Not such a good idea. I can't even think of how you could make them appropriate really. At my church, everyone dresses casual (jeans, shorts, the senior pastor wears hawaiin shirts every sunday) but I have yet to see someone wear fish-nets and not look trashy.

They really shouldn't judge, but if you go to a church that may be particularly judgmental, combine them with a longer skirt or dress and shoes that don't make you look slutty, since fishnets are so often associated with something a hooker might wear.

No. I'm all for "being yourself," but there are some instances where it's just courtesy and polite to dress more covered.

Fact is that fishnets are associated with whores and that might drive your older church members "insane in the membrane!"

It all depends on were your from,in Europe people are less judgmental of what others wear and anyway fishnets have been back in fashion here for quite a few years now.Of course that's if worn tastefully.and not with a skirt hiked up and suspenders showing......

Maybe if you had ones that had a black background (so it looks like you're wearing black tights under the fishnets). I have a pair and they look pretty classy no matter what so I think you could pull of that.
But not the typical flesh under fishnet. That's a little too sassy.

i would say maybe not. you should wear something a little more conservative. fishnets are judgable but if you want to wear them , go ahead. also, i like fishnets and you should be able to wear whatever you want. after all church is about God not stockings.

Most people would probably frown on it. You are not supposed to look overly sexy at church, you're supposed to be there to worship.

Personally I say if you want to wear them go for it. I mean, has anybody noticed how Jesus dressed? Dirty, torn robes, dirty sandals and dirty feet, and who knows if he ever shampooed his hair. It's what's on the inside that counts to God. People are the ones who think the details matter.
