This isn't as much of a question as it is a suggestion and a statement.

If you are asking people to answer your homework questions for you, then wouldn't you be cheating? It's one thing to ask for a conceptual explanation, but to blatently post your homework questions and demand answers is cheating.

They're not your answers, you don't understand the concepts, and when it comes to showing your teachers what you have learned, you will undoubtedly fail.

If you get a B or a C, at least you will know that you earned that grade. You tried, and you didn't do as well as you wanted. You could study harder and get a better grade.

But getting an A on homework because you were too lazy to study, research, or ask questions in class and instead asked people who actually worked to be where they are will only set you up for a lifetime of academic failure.

Aren't you kids even a little ashamed of yourselves? Please have some academic pride and do your own homework.

Please read what I said carefully... I stated that blatently asking for answers to your homework is cheating. Asking for an explanation is not. If you think that I'm calling all middle schoolers cheaters, then you obviously misunderstand.

Specifically, the point is to make you think about doing the research yourselves before you come onto Yahoo and ask for them. I always double check my information before I give it out, and 95% of the time that info can be found on Wikipedia.
And having a teacher expect you to learn the information is not unreasonable. Trust me, that phenomenon gets no better in college, graduate school, or during a PhD program.
Ultimately, you are responsible for yourself.

Just wait 10 years, when you go to a doctor and they ask Yahoo! Answers to help with your diagnosis.

I know some people abuse this program in that way. I don't mind helping out, but seriously, some of the questions asked could just be "googled" very easily.

I'm in high school and I'm in all honors classes. Its a lot more work than middle school, and if I had used this for all the answers through middle school, I would be dependent on this program. I'm guessing this wouldn't help out much for high school anyways, though, because I know that I only answer the easy math questions. Basically what I was trying to say there is don't become dependent on it because it won't help you out much in higher grades.

Plus, you get the satisfaction of having done your own work, and what feels better than that?

Well, actually, some things do feel better than that, but you get my point. ;-]

I'm not in school anymore, but looking back, there is a certain amount of pride when recieving an A and knowing you did the work yourself. If the kids today want to be lazy, let them, they'll get it back later.

Maybe we wouldn't be asking for answers if the teachers gave us the material , books to look up answers, and taught us properly in class. Most of the teachers that are older are lazy and throw work sheets at kids and hardly talk in front of the class. The others get paid crappy, and are lazy, and just plain hate kids and shouldn't be in the teaching profession!

There are continuously a particular share of the student inhabitants who would truly enable some different person do the artwork for them truly than putting forth the attempt to do it themselves. The cheaters are really straightforward to perceive because many of their questions are revealed in formal language or posed interior the style of a question you would anticipate a junior severe college instructor to ask in a written try.

I agree, thought I am slightly offended that you would assume us middle schoolers all cheat on our homework. I am a straight-A student and try not to cheat on anything. I would appreciate it if you did not assume we all cheat; I DO have academic pride you know, and you have just insulted it.
