the expression on someone's face when they look in it tells a lot about how they feel about themselves. the number of mirrors owned, or how often they're checked, by a person had might reflect how vain they are.

Instead of going with the same answers that everyone else is going to have how about taking a philosophical approach and say
Looking in the mirror can show a person who they truly are, help them with self improvement and realize their strengths as well as short comings.
What looking in the mirror won't show is the opposite of those things.
You get it? I am sure you can figure out the rest if you like this approach - you can also listen to Michael Jackson's "Man in the Mirror" for more inspiration.
I just wouldn't mention anything about little boys or monkeys.

Can't show who you are inside or who you want to be. Can't show what other ppl see you as because even though you see your reflection of you (your appearances physically) you don't see how you look through other ppls eyes. In other words everybody is different, see different, smell different, think of everything different. Some ppl may say you see what you want to see and it's really up to you if you think that; personally I kind of have mixed feelings on the whole reflecton thing.

Well if your facing forward of the mirror it can't show your back and the exact thing but opposite

A mirror cannot show your personality, motives, intelligence and ethics. Pretty is as pretty does so the mirror can be a terrible liar.

well putting your character is to broad, you could get more writing if you say like a mirror cannot show your personality or it cant show your talents, skills and abilities
