Death Cab For Cutie -- "Soul Meets Body"
I am looking at the lyrics of the song and there seems to be some religious and spiritual metaphors
"soul meets body" = resurrection, afterlife
"bathe my skin in cool water cleansing" = baptism, renewal
"I believe it's true that there are roads left in our shoes" = I don't think this life is the end
"If the silence takes you I hope it takes me too" = when you go onto the next world I don't want to stay here either
"let the sun wrap its arms around me" = when you are spirit you are made of the same substance as light, so the rays of the sun could be like arms that can embrace you
I have not heard this song but I am intrigued by the lyrics. It is a deeply spiritual song about a love wants to share the experiences of this life and then the next life. Thank you for bringing it to my attention!

to the Jersey Turnpike responder - I gave you a thumbs up cause that's funny! But the Turnpike only has 18 exits on it.
