The Great Wall of China?

Question

Plz give me some ideas on why the Great Wall of China is so "great." Any ideas will be fine, and plz do not give sarcastic answers.

I believe it is the longest structure on earth, and also the only man made one that can be seen from the moon. In reality, it didn't work, it was built to keep out the mongals, who easily went right through it.

The Great Wall of Chine was built originally to protect against evil spirits, (this is why the wall does not run in a straight line because it was thought that spirits could only travel in striaght lines) not as people would imagine.. most would think it would be used to protect against invader, but it actually worked against them in this way... The wall was long and not very well watched over and protected and it did not stop invaders.... through history the Chinese began to dispise the wall because it caused them such hardships (they even tore parts of it down because they blamed it so much) but as time passed they realized it was part of their past and they should honor it .... and they rebuilt the parts of the wall that had been torn down or destroyed.

It is so great becasue it is over 3000 miles long and was built in the 5th century BC until the beginning of the 17th century. It was constructed during the Ming dynasty. Also they burried the workers in the wall.

An amazing amount of work went into it. I think it is like 3000 miles long. And they had no modern machinery to help.
