I'm a female and I don't wear earrings to match my clothes. I think it depends on the person. I'm not a big fan of fashion "rules". Why others do it? I'm guessing because that's what they like to do.

So it looks good... im a 14 yearold dude and i have one of my ears peirced and i like for it to at least semi- go with what im wearing! Diamond studs go with most stuff. I wear studs and barbels, but not gadged ones! They wear um so that they feel good and put together, even if they dont match in color or stuff like that they might and should match in style!

Mine tend to not match. I just throw on some dangling ones or chandeliers.
They just go...
Plus they always add a girly touch to just a plain tshirt and jeans outfit.

Yes, The stones should coordinate and if it is gold it should not be worn with a jacket that has a silver zipper everything has to coordinate.
