Want to a cable tv channel, like discovery channel, history channel, A&E channel? How did those begin? Where would I start to begin my search?

What are you asking? Well you dont really buy a channel. You create a channel and get shows for it. And then you try to sale your channel to cable and satellite providers. And you get your money to fund your channel by playing ads. Sort of like making a tv show pilot and selling it to a network. But on a bigger scale.
