I'm in the 8th grade. Half of the eight grade 3rd period gym class is in the gym and the other half is in the classroom. We switch each week. We gave a weird gym teacher. She talks like this:
"Qui, salan youn lay"......Translation..... Quiet, sit down young lady.
She skips words when reading. Yesterday, (our turn to be in classroom) a group of girls were talking when we should have been reading. The girl was talking about how Ms. James was retarted. Convrsation:
Girl: Lol, Ms. James is retarted yall.
Teacher: Yo mama retarted!
Girl: What did you say? I'll call my mama, and she'll come up to the school.
Teacher: You think your mama the big bad wolf! Talkin' like your grown. Your retarted like your mama! Get your mama at this school, I'll talk to her.
(Girl calls her Dad on her cell phone)
Girl: Dad, this teacher called my mama retarted. Ms. ------, my dad want to talk to you.
(Girl holds cell phone up to teacher)
Girl: Here, he wants to talk.

Teacher: Sir, you better get your daughter!
Girl: I’m about to snap on you.
Teacher: Ok, so that’s a threat!? I’m writing you up.
Girl: I’ll write myself up.
Teacher: That’s okay, I’ll do it for you.
After that, the girl’s mother came to the school, and I don’t know what happened after that. I think the girl transferred her class. Who was wrong?

the teacher was definitely wrong. Teachers have no right to talk about anyone. If she was having a problem with them talking she should've asked her to bequiet nicely or if that didnt work, remove her from class. No matter what the teachers one and only job is to teach, not talk about peoples mothers. Thats definitely not in the job description.

Hmmmm.... Is this Ms. James the gym teacher or is she another teacher? If she's the gym teacher, then I'd say the girl started it by calling her retarded. If she's another teacher, then I say the gym teacher started it. While both the girl and the gym teacher are wrong, I really think the teacher didn't handle it well by saying "Yo momma retarded." But she should have indeed reprimanded the girl for calling someone retarded.

They are both wrong!!!!
The girl should not have been calling a teacher retarded. That is rude and out of line.
The teacher should have been a professional and not responded that way.

They both were wrong. The student was direspectful, and the teacher was immature. Glad I'm finished with high school.
