you forgot to mention what kind of panda
well, heh, it doesn't really matter anyway - the larger breed of panda, the white and black one that looks like a bear (but is more closely related to the racoon than the bear) eats the same thing as the smaller, fox-like fellow, the red panda
they eat bamboo, a tough plant that grows like crazy, and is hard to get rid of

Pandas eat bamboo almost exclusively. They're not very well adapted to it either.
