Silly question, but I'll answer. Of course I like Jimi Hendrix. Everone who's ever picked up a guitar owes a little to Jimi. He revolutionized what playing a guitar was all about. If you listen to today's guitarists, all of them cite Jimi Hendrix as an influence.

Yes and no. I dont mind his music and yes, he was probably the single most influential guitarist to ever live, but people confuse that with skill. He was not in any way, shape or form the best or even one of the best as far as pure talent goes, thus he is and probably always will be extremely overrated and unfortunately overpopular as many kids think that they like him (ac/dc, led zeppelin, and jimi hendrix, the poser trio of classic rock bands) whom really know **** about music.

hendrix was a guitar god, he pioneered the electric guitar and took it into a whole new realm inspiring people like eddie van halen and defined how the instrument is used even today
