its been about 4 weeks since i got my cavies and they are getting there you might say but still are a little unsure of what is going on and with me in their cage and my black one millie really does not want me to touch her but my other one coca is fine with me touching her. generally how long does it take? thanks.

Usually if you just stick your hand in the cage they are going to scatter around and run, but if you pick them up everyday and hold them for at least a few minutes a day they'll get more and more used to your hand being in the cage and wont' get as nervous. Treats are a great way to get them to trust you - carrots, celery, small amounts of fruit (don't want to give them diahrhea). squeal like they do too, they like that.
