Personally, I like the DS/DS Lite over the PSP because the DS has better games on the go. With the DS, I can pick up and play a game for about 10 or 15 minutes while I'm riding the subway. With the PSP, it's more for at home play when you can dedicate a lot of time to the game. You can listen to music on the PSP, but I got an iPod, which is a better mp3 player than the PSP. If I want to watch a movie, I can use a portable DVD player. The screen is bigger than the PSP screen. The only advantage for the PSP is the internet access, but I don't know about you, but it's a pain in the butt to use without a mouse and keyboard.
DS has more original games, while the PSP is pretty much spin-offs of PS2 games.

listen to Dancing+Singing. Most of these folks don't know what they are talking about. What with the DS having better games for better prices. The PSP has more functions, the multiplayer is better, and has better quality games. Oh, and my DS is broke and I've had my PSP longer. Having two screens is cool but the novelty wears off after about a month, where the PSP is still cool and I've had it a year because there are software upgrades.
PS: the folks that work at GameStop don't usually know anything about games, they're just there for the job

i'd have to say to go with the DS. The PSP has been having problems with lack of good games (from what i know, MGS:PO and the tekken:DR are some of the only good ones). the DS's wifi is also doing very well. i love having 2 screens. if you're afraid of the DS being too "kiddy", there are games like Metroid Prime Hunters (which is a great multiplayer game). If you're looking for an all-in-one portable entertainment center, go with the PSP.

PSP is the most preferable choice. Although the PSP is pricy the money spent on the product is worth it. The system itself provides a large range of functions.
1) Music
2) Videos
3) Gaming
4) Photos (able to view recently taken photos)
5) Data Storage (purchasing a hardrive or memory stick)
6) Internet Access (Wifi connection, requires a wireless router)
7) Remote Control (seen on videos, PSP can be used to control remote products such as cars)
8) It is practically a hand held computer
9) Channels (must be purchased seperately)
10) TV function (watch TV on the PSP)
These variety of functions have become a popular in Asia and North America. Although their arn't many releases of games their are massive range of released Japanese games. But the quality and style of games is more likely the users choice. It can be an RPG, action, racing, etc. But the visual and sound quality is excellent. The value of games and UMD disks are low compared to the DS lite. The durability of the UMD disk is sturdy and strong, unless you forcefully break the disk in half.
The DS lite provides interesting and unique style of gaming. The touch screen ability allows users to interact and communicate among friends. Additionally the touch screen allows user to enjoy unique gaming experiance such as first person shooter.
Although the DS lite proves to have a unique style of gaming ability the PSP outmatchs the DS lites due to its multiple functions. Personally I think its better to have a system with all of these functions instead of seperately purchasing mp3 players, portable dvd players or a handheld gaming device

it matters what ur interested in... a fun interactive game system or a multi-tasking next generation game system... i recommend the ds because with the psp you have to buy memory cards... but in return for buying memory cards you can listen to music while playing games... it matters if ur a playstation/ xbox person or a nintendo person...i prefer a bit of both so i have a ds for on the go and xbox 360 for at home... i say ds over lite because ds's screen wont break as easily

The better game system? PSP, hands down.
The better deal? Definitely DS! There are much better games for lower prices. The DS is also a much better deal for the actual system itself, and although the PSP has better graphics, the DS has great graphics too.
If you want to buy one, get the DS.

DS light...smaller than DS, and then it has more games of the older style.
If you must have Grand theft auto, then go with psp.

Well, it kind of depends on what kind of games you like. If you like more war/ fighting/ more advanced type of games... Go for the PSP. But if you would rather be playing a game like Mario... Go for the DS
