Interesting question. A case can be made for Jerry Rice.
Begin with the fact that he is unequivocally peerless at his position.
Add the also peerless overall postseason performances, including the 215 yard Super Bowl MVP marvel.
But more than anything, it may be the cumalitive yards and touchdowns.
No one has punched it into the end zone more than Rice, it's not even close.
Similarly, no one has gained more yards from scrimmage.
22,895 career yards and 197 touchdowns. To put that in perspective, the next highest in both categories is Emmit Smith, with 18,355 and 164 TDs, a gap it would take 4 productive SEASONS to close. Incredible, especially when you consider that top backs typically amass more yards and touchdowns every season.
Lastly, Rice is just a great guy with a legendary work ethic. The consummate professional and someone who played for the team and gave 100 percent every play.
Last interesting fact, in the strike shortened 1987 season, Rice scored an impossible 22 TDS in ONLY 12 games!! Yes, had 1987 been a full season, Ladanian Tomlinson may have been gunning for Rice's season TD record this year. Unbelievable.

Herschel Walker. Dominated High School, College and the Pro Level like no one before or since. His numbers speak for themselves when one considers that he started his pro career in the USFL, just like Reggie White, Doug Flutie, Jim Kelly and tons of other outstanding stars. He was the first million dollar football player for a reason. It's not his fault that the NFL did not use his talents better. Though he is still the ONLY player to have a run, reception and return of over 90 yards, and he did each in the same season, his final. I bet he could still play today.

RB: Ladainian Tomlinson, Barry Sanders, Jim Brown
WR: Jerry Rice, Michael Irvin
D-LINE: Reggie White
CB: Deion Sanders
S: Charles Woodson

Champ Bailey nobody dominates the game like he does. QB's said they would not throw to him and 4 the most part they didnt. He still managed to get the most ints and pass defelected in the NFL this year. Also not one player got a TD on him all year he also had 86 tackles which shows he comes up to stop the run to hes a great tackler.

Joe Montana. Four Super Bowl rings. Great QBs make their teams better. Overrated QBs throw for a lot of yards but don't have the rings. Marino, Fouts, Peyton (as of this writing)...
