Always consult with your pediatrician first if your child has had any reactions to formula or foods prior to the first birthday--otherwise 12 months is when you can start them.

My daughter is nine months old and I give her a sippy cup of milk about once a week, just to get her ready for the changeover. I will do this for about two months and then when she is 11 months old I will give her a cup of milk every day or every two days. And the day she turn 1, I will hide all the bottles where she can't see them. It work with my other two.

It would probably be ok now to start switching. If she takes an 8 oz. bottle of formula start substituting 2 oz. of it with regular milk. Work your way up to all regular milk. This will give her time to adjust to the change.

You should wait until at least a year of age and gradually add milk to his breast milk or formula until you are no longer using breast milk or formula with the milk. If you're still nursing, you may continue to do so as many times a day as you'd like. You should not give your child more than 24 ounces of milk a day or s/he can develop milk anemia, so be sure to give him/her other things to drink and keep a variety of foods in his/her diet.

I would only do it when the Dr. says you should move to milk. A lot of time formula is better for the child past 1 yr.
