Well, if it's because you have HPV, then a c-section would be safer for your baby.

With my first baby I was hoping I would need a c section as I was scared about having a baby naturally. But I had my baby naturally and even though it was a long labour I would not want to go through a c section if I didn't need to. Once the labour is over it's over with a cesarian you can't even drive or exercise for weeks later. Also you have no scares.

I can honestly say that i had a tough choice with this because i had a lot of anxiety about delivering naturally, It really helped me to take birthing classes and after 2 weeks into the class when i was supposed to schedule a c-section I decided against it. I had a change of heart because i was thinking about which way would be the best way to bond with my baby. Not only that but I didn't want to give up to easy and not try. I haven't delivered yet but will soon and so far i don't regret changing my mind to natural. There aren't to many differences as far as recovery it really depends on the person and how fast or slow your body heals. I have heard from different people either way it can be painful with delivering naturally or recovering from a c- section. Basically it all comes down to what you feel comfortable with, but i would truly talk to your doctor about it, because my doctor was very helpful in discussing both procedures and also i would try the birthing class at your local hospital, because my husband and i had a lot of fun and got to know people in our class but also exercises and relaxation techniques to use during natural labor... Good Luck! =)

I have had both, and the Cesarean was by far the hardest to recover from. The Drs had a conversation about their dinner the evening before while they performed the surgery. I did not get to hold my baby first, and I was medicated for his first 24 hours. The pain was more severe, and it took me longer to recover. I had to stay in bed alot for the first week.

With my natural deliveries, I held the baby first, was very involved in the whole scene. I was walking within 2 hours of the delivery, and had my baby in the room with me the whole time. I did not feel like I was out of it at all, and when we went home, I was almost physically better.

If you have the choice, you should at least try to have the natural delivery. If you can't for whatever reason, then you should opt for the Cesarean knowing that a healthy baby is the best result.

Natural, I have 3 children. Two were natural and the last was Cesarian. It was the hardest surgery I ever had to recover from.

Natural. I had my first son natural and my twins c-section. Even though I tore with my first and had to be stitched up, the recovery was much, much easier than the c-section. Yes, the labor process is not fun and is painful. But it seems like the pain of labor was easier to forget than the pain of recovery from surgery. Plus, the chances for infection, although rare, go up with the c-section. Enjoy your new child!

If I had my choice?...I would chose cesarian! I had my daughter naturally...and for me...20 hrs is WAY too long. Both my sons were cesarian...and even though...the recovery might be a little longer...you can't feel anything...and when you are a woman in your 40's...this is an option you just can't pass up!!!

Natural, which is what I had with my son (with an epidural in place). Even though the birth was brutal and I was sore for a while, I'm glad I didn't wind up with a c section because it is major surgery, and I didn't want to go through that.

Natural is best. A C-section takes forever to recover from. Plus, you take the risk of having the baby accidentally cut or harmed from a C-section.

I had the choice with my last son and made the horrible mistake of choosing c-section. I thought it was the "easy way out" and I was totally wrong. It hurt like burning hell- the anestesia did not work and I felt the whole thing. The recovery was total crap as well.

If you have the choice.. go with vaginal.
