As long as you really want to do it and work hard at what your doing I think your coach would be happy. Just tell him/her that you want to learn more and get better at the sport.
Good luck! Soccer is awesome. I played goalie & defence!

I tryed out for my school's soccer team when the only playing I'd ever done was with my brother and at the YMCA. Aso, I only knew a few of the other girls, so it was really hard to do. Even though I didn't get on the team, it was a good experience, and I was glad I did it because I made at least onegood friend.
Trying out for a sport is a great way to make friends, and the other kids won't be thinking you're a loser cuz they will be focusing on doing well themselves.
Last, I think the coaches are looking mostly for skill, but they also love a kid with a good attitude.

If you were good enough to play last year, you will probably be good enough to play this year. Try it!
Coaches look for a combination of skills and desire - if you have the minimum skills (which you obviously do) then your desire to play should make sure the coaches give you a shot. Trying out for the team should be a great experience whether you make it or not. Go for it!

It really depends on the school. Some schools are really competitive and school rank matters. If your school plays against other schools but the sport doesnt really make or break school spirit, they probably more interested in people who will get the most out of the experience. Just do your best. Try not to seem too winded, try to keep those knees up, and do your best. Good luck!

i tried many sports in school back then. i played basketball, table tennis, badminton, football, and darts. I wasn't the best also in any of those events but I pass every try out. You want to know my secret? -It's the thing called passion. I guess, the most important thing in sports is the desire of doing it. But of course you must know at first the basic of the game for you to be able to perform it. however in the end, it's your love of the game that made you good at it.
Find some extra time to practice before going to the try out if you really want to join the team. Your enthusiasm might be paid of in the end.
good luck.

go out there and throw yourself into it, play your heart out and really show them what you've got. if the coaches see that you have a genuine love for the game, and you're willing to practice and learn you shouldn't have a problem.
