Yes. Wrestlers are basically stuntmen. They fake punches and fall properly to make it look right and minimize damage to their bodies.

As far as proof, think about it, do you really think that people could fall 15-20 feet and get up and walk afterwards? Also, they have a championship that decides who will be the Champion every time there is a championship match. Also, next time the Undertaker does a Tombstone, pay close attention. The head does not make contact with the ground. Undertaker simply keeps their head in his knees. Also, speaking from experience, it is very difficult to put someone in any kind of submission move if they are properly trained in how to stop it, and the frequency with which wrestlers apply submission holds is completely unrealistic. I would never be put in a "sleeper hold" if I was standing up. It is simply too easy to defend against.

However, the falls are real. The wrestlers learn how to complete the moves safely before they use them. If they don't execute them properly, they can be seriously hurt. For example, Brock Lesnar suffered a concussion when he under-rotated on a Shooting Star Press.

One further note of proof: After the first "One Night Stand", an article appeard on WWE.com where the Blue Meanie was complaining about JBL actually punching him during the show ending brawl.

the show is like watching a ballet or acrobats yes thec ourse of the night is scripted yes the winner is decided before hand and yes the try not to do any real damage to each other but it hurts just the same and any man who will fly out out of the ring head first wether somone plans to catch him or not is a daredevil/athlete as well as look at all the injurys they have batista just got his shoulder back after a year fight and who knows how many visits to a specialist fake no i bet that hurt..accedents happen high risk sport/entertainment wether scripted or not as well as just about any wrestler you can name i can give you an injury list..stone cold, chris benoit..darrin drasdough who wrestled a very short time hurt his kneck last i heard was paralized from the neck or waist down and could never expect to walk again..so fake or no they deserve some props they work hard dont see there family and risk themselves at evry show...and way more entertaining than ballet

Wrestling is 90% real. The wrestling is real but the winner is scripted. The writers decide who wins and the wrestler follows the script. They do not punch with closed fists unless it is a no DQ match. Then as soon as they get punched once, they bleed. The blood is real but did you ever notice that every time someone is about to be hit with a weapon they stick their hand in front of their face? They cut their forehead before the match and tape it up. They pull the tape off when they are about to be hit with a chair and they start bleeding. If the injuries are not real, they call them kayfabe. That's how wrestling is real/fake.

Here i wrestle and yes who is going to win and storylines is all fake but everything else hurts like running the rope falling and that chap up above does not have a clue what kay-fabe is he has his own meaning for it and the wrestler have little blade in ther wrist bands so when they get hit the lie face down the camra goes of them and then they cut themself it is real blood if you look clos at there forehead you can see scars but really wrestling does hurt and that is fack is hard to learn howw to wrestlle you dont just stand in a ring and mess with each other it thake practice so there is your answer and if you dont believe me get in a ring and you feel what its like to fall on your back it hurts

yes it is. how can someone take such a beating and comeback healthy in 2 days? take for example when DX "bloodied" team rko. 2 days later on raw, theyre alrite. dont let the bandages fool you, everything is fake and scripted. if you watch closely, you will often see that they dont punch with their knuckles and that some of their punches and kicks miss by accident and they pretend to get hurt. trust me, it is fake. do you really think jon cenas FU can knock out a person? all he does is throw you over his head.

not all of it is fake. its scripted like the writers decide who the crowd wants to win and they make those ppl win. ex. on monday night raw the last match always ends at like exsactly 11;05 when the show ends but like the hits with the chairs and other weapons are real but the bleeding is just bc the wrestlers are usually told theat there gonna be hit in their match so they usually hit them selves in the head to like tenderize it and make it easier to make bleed or they cut them selves slightly right on theiir hair line so no one can see it and when the cut gets hit it gets bigger and starts to bleed

I actually think that the only wrestling that is real is the kind where you have to pin thier shoulders down on the mat. Other than that I think that the other stuff is fake.

it's fake depending on how you look at it......if you look at it if they've broken they're back there then it's real but sometimes the matches with the belts are rigged for one person to loose or win......but the matches without the belts are real........but my view it's real............
