I want to buy one of these things to transfer DVR recordings or camcorder video to DVD. I want to know a couple of things:

- Can you define the chapter breaks on the DVD?
- Is there any device that can do a straight copy from a DVR rather than recording in real time?
- Are there any problems with standard DVD players not accepting recorded discs?

" Can you define the chapter breaks on the DVD?"
Kind of. DVR will insert a chapter break at a regular interval and you can change this interval.
"Is there any device that can do a straight copy from a DVR rather than recording in real time?"
None that i am aware of.
"Are there any problems with standard DVD players not accepting recorded discs?"
Yes. Some stand alone dvd players will have problem reading discs recorded on dvr. Some dvr can't even read disc that are recorded on it. Use high quality disc like Taiyo Yuden,Verbatim,Ritek,ProDisc or Sony to minimize the incompability problem with dvd players.
