It was an account mostly used for naughty yahoo groups. she finds out and he leaves it to me. she emails me today and tells me to stop using the account. she also ask me not to tell him about it because she thinks he will get mad.

You are in the middle of something here. If closing the account will get you out of this , I would close the account. If is important that you stay out of what ever is going on between those two. I think it is more than just the account.

Be a man. "His" wife has no authority, legal or moral, to tell you what to do. To even consider bowing to her... sheez... get real.
Her behavior is classic "passive/agressive"; being manipulative and controlling, but in a way that minimizes conflict and consequences to her. She gets what she wants with minimal fallout to her... preferrably anonymously. She gets to pretend to be the "good guy", that she is being the victim while all the time she is the agressor... constantly working in the background to get what she wants at the expense of others, and no negative consequences to her. Anything you do to cater to her whim enables her behavior. It reinforces it because it works.
Blow it up in her face. Tell her to take a long jump off a short cliff and forward her e-mail to her hubby.

if he is using the account and it is affecting their marriage, than closing the account won't help, he can still open a new account, she has no right to ask u to close your account, he needs to just stop using it.

Tell her if she has a problem with her husband accessing that account to take it up with HIM and leave you out of it.
She's totally out of line. She seems to feel the ring through her husband's nose extends through yours.

How did she locate it? Obviously she was ''LOOKING" at the same things you are. If you want to then delete it but i'd also tell her to mind her on affairs.She sounds like a trouble maker.

i am a bit confused...if it is your account..do what you want.if you are letting your friend use it.....and wife found out and does not approve...well, that is up to her and him.....
but where you say "she tells me to stop using the account"? who is she to tell you what to do anyway? more details and can help more....
