I've just finished interviewing 6 people & I have about 25 more to go, between today & Friday. I'm exhausted. What are some simple easy questions I can ask to get a feel for their personality & skills?

I'm hiring for a Admin Assistant in a construction office.

Also when someone calls about the position (that is customer service oriented) and exhibit very poor phone skills & professionalism. What is the best way to tell them there is no way I'd hire them? (I don't like to lie, but I would also rather not hurt some strangers feelings if I can avoid it.)

Do you have a written script/list of questions that you follow when conducting these interviews? If so, I'd narrow the list down to the questions that will give you the most info about that person within a short amount of time. Which of those questions are the most important to ask? What verbal and visual cues can you gain from the interviewee when you ask those select questions? Are there questions on your list that just seem unnecessary?
...This is basically what I do when I have a lot of people to interview with little time to do it. I'm lucky enough to have a pre-set list of questions, but I leave out the least useful ones.

As for the phone inquiries, I'd just offer to take their name and number and tell them you'll let them know if you are interested in scheduling an interview.

i understand that i'm dropping my time, yet, the real concern is the word "what the federal government or state government ought to do on your behalf". there's no shape for what the federal government ought to do interior the form. the government ought to do what the legislature passes and the President approves as long because of the fact the Courts agree that it is constitutional. as a effect, any attempt to state that some accountability of the government is needed with tips from the form is incorrect and as a constitutional student he ought to understand that. it is sparkling that he does not have faith that the courts are a competent place to combat for redistribution, notwithstanding it is likewise sparkling that he believes that redistribution is mandatory (see his 2d paragraph above). that's the redistribution and not the courts function in such an attempt it relatively is on the backside of the criticism.
