i dont understand this if global warming is the "warming" of the earth

yes, if the polar ice caps melt due to global warming then the rise in sea levels will trigger the cooling process, the northern hemisphere owes it's warm climate to the NORTH ATLANTIC CURRENT, warm water is carried from the equator round most of the Northern Hemisphere but with more freshwater being dumped in the sea as a result of global warming the current is affected and the sea temperatures will fall. This will cause an ice age that could last up to two centuries, then it will take a while for all the ice to melt and in 4/500 years everything will be back to normal, but then we will be living in the stone age again because none of our modern technology will survive. So in 700 years everybody will be using swords and bows to defend their castles.

It is the warming.Global warming can melt the ice in the Arctic and Antarctic and cause the world to flood.

It never has in the past. Periods of glaciation (ice ages) have always been associated with global cooling.

I thought there was once rainforests in the artic. This may be a good thing. I never have liked glaciers.
