Hi im going to get the contraceptive implant tomorrow and wondered if people with personal experience can tell me if it hurts. Thanx

they numb it and its not that big but can cause a reaction in some people

Hi there iv had it in twice. they give you a local anesthetic. to numb the area first which might sting a little, then it might be a little tender for a day after anesthetic wears off, but its not really sore, and its well worth getting it in, also if it doesnt agree with you, you can have it taken out at any time, hope this helps xxx

i have this and had it done two years ago they numbed the area so wasn't painful as such but you will be aware of the sensation and it may be slightly uncomfortable ! i did find tho that after wards that area of my arm was slightly tender for a couple of days good luck hunni it's not that bad :)

i had it done about 6 months ago and it doesn't hurt cuz they completely anaesthetise your arm...... just don't watch them doing it thats the mistake i made! (just doesn't look very pleasant)
