I always find my best gifts on Etsy. Everything is handmade. So even it it's not your hands making the item, they are made with love and care and usually very nicely packaged and at great prices.

A gift book of IOU's that you are willing to for this person. Like doing the dishes, or taking them to dinner, baby sitting, a gift card for thier fav coffie shop or Blockbuster. Then when you done with that get some hard stock paper for a cover and a back. punch holes in all the IOU's and the cover stiring ribben threw all the holes. I would also add a pic of the person that you giving it to on the front. If your giving this a woman candy, buble bath, a fav drink would go well also.
It would also be nice if you made a book of your two's person history. from pic's of the two you or places that you been. with writing of how it was good or speical, anything that you think about, the brith of a child, your first kiss, and so on. I would also add a chapter of where you see each other in the years to come. You could make this for a lover or a friend. You just need to use good judement. Good Luck

There is one true gift that you can give, and that is the love from you !!!!!!
To my wife there are a couple of ways in particular I show my love to her on Valentine's Day, one is to send her very unexpectedly a bouquet of flowers( not ROSES) to her work with a card on the inside saying your love to her and that I have a suprise for you.
When she gets home she walks into the kitchen with you and an apron on, cooking a very romantic supper for just the two of you. You pour her a glass of wine and tell he to go and sit down until supper is finished cooking. When supper is on the table and you are ready to eat, pull out a box of ROSES from under the table, give it to her with a big kiss on her lips saying how much you love her an that you can't be without her...... With the roses and the HOME cooked meal, she will ador you even more than before.

Something that suits her...that shows that you really know her. In stead of giving a rose, give a bouquet filled with HER favorite flower (or find out the meaning of each flower--in Victorian times they assigned meanings to flowers--then give her a bouquet with flowers showing a special message. You'll have to explain what each one means...but that's the romantic part.)
Or, take her to do something she's always wanted to do.

Are you artistic? Paint her a picture...really, anything hand-made is special because it's personal...and guys don't do things like that very often. My guy is into computers and made me a webpage when we were dating. Don't know if every girl would like that, but I thought it was sweet.

fix a favorite dinner and bake something really special for dessert.
you don't have to spend a lot of money to have a nice time.
