I just booked my flight to athens for April...
The prices change depending on when you are going but I searched around for a couple weeks and the cheapest flight I found from Los Angeles, CA was $700 us. It will be a lot cheaper if you live on the eastcoast.

Are you starting from the UK? Easyjet from Luton or Gatwick is your best option. Use the web site. Booking starts ten weeks before the flight and is at its cheapest then. Gets more expensive as you get nearer to the flight. Some days and some times are cheaper than others.

There is the EasyJet where prices begin from £35 but you should leave from Lutton if I'm not mistaken...
