The most recent is a company called Blackpool Automotive. This company built TVR cars - it was turned into a separated company from TVR a year or two ago. TVR has not gone into administration, but now doesn't have any manufacturing facility to build its cars.

MG Rover went into administration in 2004. It was closed and most of its assets were sold to Nanjing Automotive.

the latest one is TVR in Blackpool December 2006 as they were selling 2 cars a week

lotus has twice. relliant did and totally ceased trading. rover has, tvr a couple of times. british leyland was about to go into administration and was then saved by the goverment. fiat almost faced it a couple of years ago.
