Live in Florida now, but it's too hot and getting too crowded.
But I used to live in Greenville, SC. Very, very nice place. Younger population than Florida, 4 seasons, but not too cold. Lots of activities. Very big on sports, both on a high school and college level (Furman and Clemson). Lots of industry and tech jobs, not nearly as expensive as Florida, with equal pay. Very family oriented, with good, wholesome people. 2 hours from Atlanta, 2 hours from Charlotte. Near the mountains, 3 hours from the shore. Lots of lakes. We loved it there, and may move back one day. Had to move to Florida because of family stuff.

If it weren't so expensive to buy a house, California would be the best place because of the mild weather in most of the state. You have coastal regions, mountains, desert, and valleys all offering different environments. There are lots of job opportunities as well.

Cali is too expensive ...its only drawback....I suggest San aaantonio tx ....housing is cheap....Jobs are good ...and the quality of life is very good....it gets a little hot for a few months in the summer ,but the rest of the year it is wonderful
