I watch it sometimes on Sky satelite tv here in the UK, a lot of people made a fuss about it here and in the US, as if it were some radical islamic news channel of hate.
Having watched it I'd say it's an excellent news channel, covering interesting items from all over the world. All it could be accused of is being selective in who it interviews, often choosing arab and palestinian victims, rather than american or isreali. Still, isn't Fox news equally selective in who they interview?

Many people in the US only get a one-sided, prejudiced view of foreign events. It seems like a lot of it is heavily skewed towards a pro-jewish perspective, especially when it comes to the Middle East. George Bush himself has made a great many statements which are clearly pro-Israeli and clearly wrong. This stuff is fed to American people over and over and over constantly, disinformation, propaganda, call it what you will. A lot of has little to do with fact and more with Bush's narrow, and oftentimes erroneous, world view. Thus, anything from any source other that the Bush Administration or the mainstream media in the US will be quite a bit different than what Americans see every day. A news outlet like al-Jazeera has to be suspect because it comes from an Arab country. So people will object to it just for that reason alone. What they should be objecting is the incessant spewage coming from the mouth of George Bush.

I was born and live in the US, just outside of New York City in New Jersey.

You could have said something similar about Tass, back before the Soviet Union collapsed.

It carried a wide variety of news from around the world, and usually featured nothing but sunny good news about Soviet Russia. The crushing poverty, the imprisonment or murder of political dissidents, the shooting down of civilian airliners, the meltdown of Soviet nuclear reactors, and other such information was either ignored, misrepresented or lied about.

People in the free world knew that it served as an apologist and spokesperson for some people who did some pretty bad things.

Al Jazeera does the same thing, and takes it to a horrifying new level. They have routinely televised the terrorists' beheading of innocent westerners. They have painted the US and UK as violent aggressors against Islam, when we know that both countries have place peacekeeper in several Muslim nations--keeping Muslims from massacring each other. They favor of the genocide of the Jewish people and the violent destruction of Israel.

I don't need to digest a thousand hours of airtime to know that they stand in defense of poisonous, wicked people.

Comparison of Fox news to this kind of is slanderous. Yes, they feature a "conservative" tone. And yet, liberal hosts are given airtime and those with opposing views are welcomed to express (And DEFEND) them.

Many people neither think nor reflect on events, and unconsciously echo what the mainstream media's line...And who has a very significant control on mainstream media? Is it not the Zionist Jews who are in actual fact the Israeli fifth column in US and Canada. It is in their interest for American people to see Palestinians and Arabs in particular, and the Muslims in general as horrible scums of the earth, and Israelis as sweet and kind in need of protection and as brothers and sisters to the Americans. It's not in their interest to have Americans exposed to another perspective, in fact, a by far truer perspective. I hope the American public will wake up one day and see how it has been conned by Israeli propaganda and control.

Silly humanoid, you don't have to watch something in order to dislike it. You answered it yourself.
