target! the products have much better quality even though they are more expensive than walmart... i would rather pay the extra 50 cents at target & have the product last than have to pay less & be back the next week buying the same thing all over again & they offer much better service than at walmart

Wal-Mart, most definitely! Every time I walk in to a Target I get this felling that its laid out, owned and managed by a prissy 14 year old girl. Most of Wal-Mart stores are open 24/7 and the prices are much lower too. With Wal-Mart you can get new tires put on your car and your oil changed too while you shop. Try to do that at Target. You can't. Not only does Wal-Mart have the lowest prices in town but a far wider selection with a full service gas station (lowest gasoline prices in town with $.03 off per gallon) and full service grocery store with fresh meats, fresh dairy and produce too. Making Wal-Mart not only very inexpensive but very convenient as well! Target is no longer the low price leader like it once was and I don't think there quality is any better than Wal-Mart's. Wal-Mart also has a much better return policy than Target too. When you put all of these facts together, it's no wonder why Wal-Mart is the world’s #1 retailer!

Between Target and Wal-Mart, I prefer Target HANDS DOWN and here is why;

1. Target is safer than Wal-Mart and I feel safe at Target both inside the store and outside in the parking lot no matter if I am there at 8:00 AM or 8:00 PM.

2. Target is much, much, much cleaner than Wal-Mart. The restrooms are clean, the floors are polished, and the rugs are cleaned.

3. Target has better associates than Wal-Mart who understand that the customer comes first before anything else while at Wal-Mart, something else comes before the customer.

4. Target you can get assistance by calling for help on a red telephone while at Wal-Mart you have to chase down an associate who does not know what you need.

5. Target has great customer service and assist you in any ways they can while Wal-Mart customer service ask you too many unnecessary questions.

6. Finding parking at Target is simple and you remember where you park while at Wal-Mart the parking lot is way, way, way too overcrowded and you can NEVER find where you actually parked.

7. Target has better quality products while Wal-Mart does not sell products with good quality.

8. At Target, no matter how crowded the store is you are checked out by a cashier quickly and efficiently while at Wal-Mart you wait in long lines just to get checked out by a cashier and the cashier service at Wal-Mart goes by so slowly.

I could list more reasons why Target is Better Than Wal-Mart but I have a website listed where you can hear another persons point of view on why Target is Better Than Wal-Mart.

Target---They have the more trendier product, like with the home decor and clothing that they sell. Much cleaner and friendlier employees. Depending on the market you live in, they are priced pretty well with Wal-Mart (direct competitor). I always comp shopped and made sure the price was right. (Thats why I had excellent sales in my departments, always in a increase) CD's arent edited at Target. The signage and displays are nice not "ghetto" looking. And why would u want to get your oil changed at Wal-Mart, they always take over an hr for just an oil change, go to Minute Man or a Jiffy Lube (be done in 10-15min) Only downside is the all-in-one shopping experience, unless you go to a SuperTarget. Neither place will have very knowledgable staff, its not emphasized, but if you want that go to a specialty retailer. Target by a landslide over Wal-Mart

Target. Wal-mart is so messy and crowded with stuff all over and not just displayed on shelves. You can hardly get thru. Also they are not good to their employees and Target gives way more to charity. The quality is better at target. Wal-mart fliers may have cheaper prices but when you get to the store they are always out but they say they have something the same but at a much higher price. Overall I think in the long-run you get a better deal from Target. (The commercials are cool too.)

Target and Wal-Mart are both classed as discount stores. The difference is Target is considered up-scale (meaning more unique items but higher $$$s). I prefer Target when possible because I have worked for Wal-Mart and their treatment of employees is deplorable. I felt like a child laborer in a turn-of-the-century sweatshop.

Used to be Target, but more and more it's Wal-mart.
Why? Because
1. They WILL price-match any advertised competitor's prices on anything, and Target doesn't anymore. Nor will they match their own previously-advertised sales - they used to do this if you still had a flyer within 2 weeks of the current date and asked the service desk. Now it's only if you have an official raincheck issued from the register.
2. Walmart customer service (the 800#) has been very consistent, pleasant, and resolute with any order issues I've had.
3. Return policy is a little more relaxed.
4. (this is a personal one) I don't see the same "clique" of cashiers that I do at Target. I can't explain that better without offending anyone who might currently work there.

I like Wal-Mart better, they have cheaper prices, and more of a selection Even though Target is much cleaner. Plus Wal-Mart has the whole super walmart thing and you do your grocery shopping (which is cheaper than other food stores) all at once
