Well I'm assuming since you don't want to wear foundation that you just want a natural appearance to your makeup.
To get that do tons of blending.
Put on a blush and blend it from your apples all the way to your hairline. Pick a shade that most resembles your natural flush you get. If you where a completely opposite tone, it'll be obvious.
Next take a brown, eggplant, navy, or blackish shade of eyeshadow, wet it down a little, and apply it to your lashline. Really blend that too to get a natural look instead of a line.
Put on a light eyeshadow with a little shimmer to it after that.
You can apply a shimmery white in the arch below your eyebrow and to the inner creases of your eyes to make them pop.
Put on a layer or two of mascara and add a little powder to your face (just to set your blush). It won't be heavy or make you breakout.

The best way to learn this is to go to a local department store or a makeup store and ask for a make over. They are free and you do not have to purchase anything if you don't want to. I prefer going to Sephora because they have a wide range of brands and they don't work on commission. When you go ask questions and tell them what you want, for instance you can say you don't want foundation, or that you want to stick to a certain budget.
There is also a cool new brand/website ELF cosmetics, they are inexpensive and the website tells you how to apply the different products, you can even choose whole looks, etc. The makeup is not the highest quality, but it isn't the lowest either. I love their lip glosses! There website is eyeslipsface.com I think they are still running the promotion where everything is just $1, you just pay for shipping. So it is inexpensive enough to experiment as well.
Good luck and have fun!

The basics to me are blush (maybe bronzer if you need it), mascara, and lip gloss. That's if you don't have time for anything else, it's basic but still a beautiful natural thing.
With a big blush brush dap the blush lightly on the apples of your cheeks and then whisk (lightly) round in circles moving outward.
-If you have fair or olive skin I suggest a pinky shade
-if you are darker go for more of a rose or peach shade
Get an eyelash curler (any brand will do) and apply the mascara from the VERY BOTTOM OF THE LASH. You want to feel the brush on your lash line and wiggle it upwards and sweep the brush in the direction you want you lashes to go (I recommended sweeping out at the edges for a cat-eyed effect)
HERE, THIS IS AN AWESOME WEBSITE! I BOUGHT THIS GUYS BOOK WHEN I WAS YOUNGER AND IT HELPED ME ALOT!.

i dont use foundation either...i hate the feeling and look...personally i dont understand how some girls can wear it...instead i use covergirls powder...its dry and you can put just a little on (thats all i do) and it looks and feels great and more natural...
other than that you can go to a few websites that have really neat ideas of applying eyeshadow if you want outrageous eyes or lipstick if you want awesome lips...
http://www.covergirl.com
http://www.marykay.com
those are the websites i recomend...also, you will see a lot of girls going around with a bunch of eyeliner and mascara...well...it looks rediculous...dont do that... those two websites have awesome ideas...and you dont even have to buy their product really! you can use any one that you like but still use the same concept! hope this help! HAVE FUN WITH YOUR MAKEUP!

So, let me get this straight... you want to apply your makeup without using foundation? If not...
Apply foundation with your finger tips, and liquid is best. Smooth foundation equally over your face, and rub it in smooth, and even.
Applying makeup without foundation...
I would buy some blush (something to put on your face) and the blush should only be a step darker then your skin tone color, not too pink, only if your really dark.
I would then apply some really nice eye makeup, also depending on your skin color, if your pale, get light makeup, if your dark, get dark makeup (that's always best) when applying your eye makeup go in one direction smoothly, and even it out once again. Then apply some black eyeliner and then black mascara, but put 2 layers of mascara on. also, a light color lip liner (light pink) would be nice start from the middle of your lip and go a little more then half way to the end. then apply some shiny gloss and your set to go. I am sure your beautiful without makeup too.

try a tinted moisturizer or powder to give you some color. Apply downwards and evenly. Apply blush on the apples of your cheeks, smile to apply it. The rest depends on what you want to wear. If you want mascara it should be applied from the base of the lash and twirl the wand around. P.S to choose a powder/ moisturizer shade apply it to the jaw area to see if it's too dark or a match.

first, find the right color that matches you. If you have very light skin you want more of a yellow color than pink for foundation. For mascara, use brown, or black. For eyeliner, i prefer black, also dark blue, or brown. For blush a color that matches your skin, if you go to a make-up store or section in a department store ask them. But NEVER use A LOT OF make up!
