Harry Tiko: there is no moral argument agaist it. Countessa: it is legal in Holland. Well, I was born in Holland, and elderly family members are afraid to go to hospital for even the simplest procedure, as they know they will not come out alive and continue to be a drain on the gov.t pension funds. This I don't call euthanasia but simply government-sanctioned murder.

I agree with you. Euthanasia is scary. I remember when abortion in the 1st trimester became legalized & look where its at today! And where it might go in the future!

Once euthanasia is permitted where will it go in the future? Will they say that we can euthanize babies born with defects? Or people who become hospitalized at a certain age? It just opens Pandora's Box.

I favor euthanasia as a result of my father dying from non Hodgkin's lymphoma. He was a vibrant man, a lineman and US Marine who was so sick, losing weight and being in pain. All the morphine in the world did not ease the pain but slightly. There was no good choice in his case. As a result had I been able I would have ended his suffering. I hope my family would do the same for me.
