It means its getting ready to shed. Usually Their skin darkens and their eye caps turn blueish.

It means the snake is getting ready to shed it's skin. The whole body including the eyes shed regularly if fed regularly. Be sure the snake sheds the blue off of it's eyes when it sheds it's skin. If this does not come off, the snake cannot see well and will strike at any movement.
