It seems that the division of parties is so extreme to one side, that the Repubs and Dems have lost true sight of what this country is all about. I am neither, I am independent. It shouldn't be about right or left, it should be about right or wrong. Bush, for example, I agree on certain issues and disagree on others. But mostly what I see on here is he is 100% right or he is a 100% idiot. We are getting away from what true politics are about; to help strengthen and help our country grow and prosper. Instead, we are tearing it down and it's both parties faults. How can both parties work together when the division is so far apart?

I think I finally found someone who makes sense. Most of the people on here answer questions rudely calling libs "baby killers" and reps "righteous". I mean I think I'm leaning to the liberal side but I'm really in the middle. I like to look at both sides before I make a decision. I mean most people think they are completely right and that anything that is against them is wrong. I agree with some of the things that reps are for and some of the things that libs are for. Everyone does seem so far right or left that it doesn't seem there's much room for compromise. I think people should be more concerned about their morals than their political side. You gave Bush as an example. A good example is the stem cell research and the other "hot topics". I see benefits from both sides and I think they just need to meet each other in the middle. In my AM. Govt. class we talked about how money has a big deal to do with a lot of politics and sometimes you have to wonder if anyone has the people's interests at heart anymore. But as for me I will continue to see both sides instead of choosing a definite side.

It's up to us to vote out the extremeist & vote in the moderates.

More of us also need to get involved with the primaries. I am personally more of a libertarian, but I am a regesterd republican so I can vote in the primaries. That way I can vote out the portian of the republican party that is for big spending. (Bush's spending would have horrified Reagan!) Or I could just as easily register as a Democrat & support fiscal conservatives in the party.

But we citizens should not be loyal to a politician just because have a (D) or an (R) by their name!

And the parties will cater to how the people vote.

I like your suggestions, too. Getting away from the extremes is important. Trying to find compromises is very important and the "moderates" in both parties are more likely to do that.

But, as I said in that answer, I believe that the extreme left are too much in the habit of assuming that their views about "human rights" are guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution. They believe that the U.S. Constitution embodies every far left ideal and thus the Constitution disempowers the conservatives and the liberals thus believe that they don't have to compromise with conservatives. For example, liberals believe that they don't have to compromise with conservatives about abortion because the Constitution guarantees a right to abortion. And liberals will never, ever let go of their theory of constitutional interpretation.

I agree with your thinking-I guess both sides have to become aware of how this is negatively affecting the country and hurting all. They would have to earnestly try to not be so divided along such a simple thing as party lines. And we have to help be voting for the right people and initiatives. That is the only way I can think of for it to be solved or lessened.

proper is approximately capitalism and privateness. It approach the federal government inspire growth via the character. Left approach communist or socialist. Government inspire Development via the society, consequently he acts as company chief. USSR wasn'T communist seeing that equality wasn't revered and the federal government used to be certainly to do struggle than expand the nation.(generally seeing that of the primary soviet-internationnal idealism of Joukov. although the others after have been softer, assignment used to be nonetheless enormous.) Both have advantages. Right is higher while there's no trusts or staff agreement among enormous firms ,while the concurrence stays flawlessly stability in which simplest call for and present leads. Left is higher if the federal government is a well chief. it approach not wealthy, nor deficient all same. If they do good, simplest low-cost offerings can live to tell the tale. Both part have their tendency on a ways and near. Far approach proper-capitalist like within the 20s,: no subventions, simply natural concurrence and left- communism. Closer to middle approach proper- like Canada with Liberals: is helping and subventions and left socialism: halfway among all character and all governmental. States are commonly among middle and a ways proper. Canada is among states and middle and quebec might be much more likely to be among middle core left, however seeing that of Harper and budgets cuts all of them cross extra to the proper. So see? proper it is blue just like the states: capitalism left is crimson like communism. upload middle and quality the function. Far proper may be very unhealthy factor, final time we had distinct october day in 1929...all of us recollect what is supposed. They re enforced to difficulty. Too a ways on left offers you USSR if now not managed good. Usually, a ways proper include isolationism and protectionism whilst left brings commonly the inverse. Even despite the fact that Soviets in which reversed for us, they have been open for his or her global. So, that'S it.

I believe the same as you do; that political parties and leaders should be judged on a variety of issues. They should be judged not just on content but character also.

However, if one issue is so divisive that it tears a nation and a world apart, any good that leader has done will be forgotten.
