I mean I am from alabama (but im an auburn fan!) but I think it is embarrassing lol What do ya'll think?

Bama shoulda kept Shula. He started coaching a team four years ago that was on probation, had no scholarship players (still doesn't), and that my chapionship high school team would have beaten. Shula did all the work for Saban: They could have hired bart simpson as coach and he would have a winning '07-'08 season. I'm in AL too but when Auburn and AL play... may the BEST team win (and they almost always do); it saves me alot of hurt feelings or arrogant assholiness all year. I think U of A fans are second only to TN fans as the worst, meanest spirited fans in college football. U of A listened to the FANS when they booted Shula. Saban may be a great college coach, but yes it is embarrassing, and if I were a hellfire Alabama fan, I would hang my head in shame. I DID when they fired Shula, now I just shake it in amazement.

They had no choice. The had to buy out his remaining contract with the Dolphins which went through 2009. After they picked up that tab they had to offer him a salary as well.
That should tell you how desperate Alabama was.

I think Saban is a good coach, but the money is supposed to get is wayyyy too much

Saban is the Larry Brown of football.
He moves so much that he owns majority ownership of Mayflower.

I always thought coaches get payed to much and hes even a college coach so i think its crazy he gets payed that much.

He's a good coach, but he ain't that good. I was sorta pissed when he left LSU, but what can you do?
