It's OK if you support the war but are too scared to let your convictions overcome your fears. Bush was a coward too; maybe that's why you admire him. Hypocrisy is a legitimate political philosophy. So is ignorance.

If you choose not to join the military, that is certainly your right, but you should expect one hell of a flaming for posting this. Why do you think you're too young to die, but have no problem with other young people dying?
But I do kind of see your point. Libs complain if someone tells them that if they don't like here, they can leave - it's the same principle.

You don't want to fight because you think you're too young to die, but you think it's fine for others to sacrifice their lives for you? And you accuse liberals of being weak?
Normally, it wouldn't follow that you have to personally get involved in something just because you believe in it. But given that there is definitely a shortage of troops in Iraq and the only way we'll have enough to fight this war you support is for someone else to sign up, it makes more sense for it to be a supporter of this preposterous, incompetent, pointless war than someone who thinks it is only making our problems worse!

Perhaps because there's a shortage of troops? Or are you too busy lib-bashing to go over there, 'cause if they start drafting at 18, you're 6 years too old to be too young. What a moron.

You are entitled to have any opinion about the War in Iraq that you want. You are entitled to not join the military; that is also your choice. But you seem to have no problem with people dying, as long as it isn't you. That's selfish.
