The biggest deep-cycle battery you can get is the best (rated in amp-hours) Just don't buy into the hype about a particular brand a lot of people seem to go loony over.

hello, Well the very best out there for trolling motors are the optima's but they are very expensive and for you trolling motor I do not belive you want to spend that much. I have had bass boats for over twenty years and I have used interstate batteries for years. They perform very well and last about 3 to 4 years for me. the adverage cost is about 65 dollars for a deep cycle.

Hi there
I run a marine shop and for years of trying different types of batteries I have found that interstate seems to make one of the best batteries for trolling motors I have found. the most widely used and that I sell is the interstate megatron deep cycle battery
SRM-27 with 750 cca 160 reserve capacity. moderatly priced
in the 78.00 to 80.00 range
