I have a 1994 Mitsubishi galant(182087 miles). Recently I had an oil chage from Walmart. They checked most of the things and said fine. But now whenever I apply break at a traffic signal or parking lot, the car gives kind of "jump" and sounds like giving gas.
Then it stopped automatic. Happened 3-4 times. What to do? Can anyone help?

Wallmart oil change? I would check to see if there is any oil in the car. Did they tighten the drain plug? Does the oil filter leak? Did they put the right oil in? Take it to a proper mechanic and see if they did any damage to your engine.

Too little useful information. You need to have the computer system diagnosed which can be done for free at a number of parts outlets. Just call around and see if you can get a diagnostics done. WallMart is not equipped to perform such diagnosis.

sounds like you have a vacuum leak at the brake booster or one of the other main vacuum lines on the engine.....when you step on the brake it pulls vacuum to assits the braking action and this is too much for your engine with a major vacuum leak.
