How can they do what they were elected to do when they are out on the road campaigning? Most Governers who run, resign from their position.

This is the second attempt at posting...the first time didn't show.

Thanks for answering. My thoughts would be as follows. If you are truly devoted the the quest of being President, and that is the goal that you aspire to, then it should consume you. How can you (politition) expect the American people to take your campain seriously, when you aren't serious enough to resign your post, and let someone else fulfill your duty. It just seems absurd to me that some candidates keep their Senatorial or Congressional seat as a back up. I have personally devoted my life to my career, and I give it my all...I should expect the same from someone who says they want to lead the nation.

God Bless America!

I have thought about that before myself. They want the responsibility of being President of our nation, but have no problem slacking on their current duties in order to get there. Just doesn't seem right.

If I had a vote, I would vote they should resign. Running for President is a full time job. I also do not believe that a sitting President should be allowed to campaign for "others" while he is the president. He is the President of "all of America", not just one party.

Yes they need to step down so someone else can be the voice of the people in their district/state. We are not paying them to go on the road. We are paying them to sit and vote on bills and issues. The are suppose to be the voice of the people they elect. NOT present is no voice.

No. If they lose they will be homless and nobody will help a homeless dude with a Tuxedo on.
