If you or the seller has Paypal and have bought items in the past using Paypal, you can get it from there. Other than that, I am not sure.

Having bought and sold on eBay then the addresses will come up on an invoice that can be printed up after the transaction is complete - and this can be printed up whether you pay by Paypal or otherwise. Once you know where to look it's relatively simple. I don't think the seller should need to ask for the address, but then I have been given a couple of addresses from sellers via email when I was paying by cheque before I found out how to find the addresses. I know this doesn't actually answer the question but check the feedback of the seller to see how reliable they are. It sounds like they do want to send the item to you!

I can understand why the seller would ask for your address confirmation. I had a buyer purchase something from me over 3 months ago, via paypal and just before Christmas, Paypal suspended the payment, after I had sent the item and it had been paid for! The buyer had given an 'unconfirmed' address, which was the same address as Ebay had given me in the buyer's notification at end of sale.
This buyer, told their credit card company that they had not authorised the payment and the credit card company placed a chargeback with Paypal!
I had to prove to them that I had posted the item, that the buyer had sent me messages previous to end of auction to ask about the item, that the buyer had contacted me after the end of auction to ask how to set the item up and running (a mantle clock by the way).
After all this, the chargeback was refunded, LESS A CHARGE OF £7 THAT THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY CHARGED PAYPAL FOR REVERSING THE CHARGEBACK!
This is why sellers are told to ask for confirmation of where to send their items. Paypal will only look into Chargebacks for free, if your buyer has a verified address, even though it is the address that Ebay have given you. I now check with my buyers, that this is their correct address before posting anything and will keep a copy of this email, just in case this happens again.
It is very unfair, and at £7 a time, just to prove you actually sent the item in the first place, is a Scam!
By the way, if you are in UK and cannot prove tracking (a receipt of posting is not classed as tracking) then this £7 fee will be levied on Paypal by the credit card company and this is passed on to the Seller. Overseas shipping can be tracked and special delivery etc, but normal parcel post within UK is not trackable.
We cannot win, which ever way you look at it!

The Seller has done everything right, you should have changed your details on Paypal. A Seller MUST send to the address in Paypal for Seller protection- not the one on eBay. It would be unfair to ask for a refund as you have messed up. You are going to have to track it down/wait till you can pick up. Maybe offer to pay for another -add the correct address to Paypal (or a Guest address is fine) and once you send back the original I am sure he will be more than happy to refund you

Hi, good thinking!
I sell a lot on eBay. If you paid through Paypal, they absolutely have your address in fact, I will only ship to confirmed Paypal address' . If you are paying by another method, check they will get your address when you send it to them. If it is through another credit card service, they can request your details from eBay and will be given your phone number that is recorded on your account but you will have to give them your address when they call you.
When ever you get an email from eBay, make sure that rather than responding directly to the email you go to the eBay site and log in. If the message is legit it will be in your messages box and you can respond form there with confidence that it is a legit question or request.
eBay is the biggest target on the web for phishing. I get a couple of bogus emails a week trying to get my personal info. Just be cautious. do everything including replying to messages on the site and you'll be fine.

It depends on how you paid for it. If it's paypal and your address is verified, it pops up automatically. If you're new to the system it will say unverified address and the seller is supposed to ask for it to make sure it goes to the right place.
If you click through the ebay "contact seller" link on the item you bought, you will make sure your address is going to your seller.

It depends on the account settings. If you don't want to give out your address via email, then pay them using Paypal or send them a money order with your address.

My address would be displayed to them on the invoice I would send them (or vice versa) when bidding is complete and it has been verified if the item is being posted, collected or delivered. I think it was set up like this through my account settings.
What is the feedback rating on this ebayer? If you are concerned for whatever reason contact ebay for their advice.
Good luck - I hope your boyfriend likes his pressie

When you register you usually put your address on the form, don`t know why it hasn`t shown up to your seller though.
If they haven`t got and address then your not going to get your item.
