yes, yes, it's called an Uncontested Divorce/Dissolution. You don't even require a lawyer. You can either do all the paperwork yourself or a paralegal. You will still have filing fees but it's certainly much cheaper.
My ex and I used a paralegal office, we agreed on everything and even have two children together. We filed out of county to avoid our local county's mandatory child support and parenting requirements for divorcing couples.
MUCH cheaper!!

If in agreement, then it is far cheaper. One set of divorce papers, one lawyer and filing fees.
Try to have complete agreement on who gets what, and get the items separated to your own personal locations, right off the bat. Don’t wait until disagreement can arise. Possession is the key. Talk to the lawyer together and sign the papers together. This will help avoid any confusion.

I'm going thru a divorce.. same thing... we get along well enough..no kids. THANK GOD.. however.. The big "D" brings out the worst in people. You should always have a neutral party in the picture watching out for your interests! Your emotions are involved no matter how cordial it is and you dont always make the best choices. TRUST ME... We both have attorneys, It keeps things fair on both sides! Good Luck My Friend.. it's a tough road ahead of you.. email me if you need to chat! :)

Yes...absolutely. Don't let an attorney tell you differently. If you can have an amicable divorce then it's best.... you simply pay for an attorneys time to have the document typed and filed with the court. Possibly the cost of a court hearing to say everyone agrees....

In this case i wouldnt even hire a lwayer, i would get a do-it yourself divorce kit, I got one for $25 at the ymca. then fill in the blanks both of ya sign and then pay the filing fee for a court date.. Should be pretty cheap I would say under $500. Mine was $25 for papers, $180 filing fee.

Yeah it is cheaper cause if you both agree on all the conditions it takes less time and costs less. I think you can even go thru a mediater instead of lawyer, thus not having to pay lawyer fees. Good luck.

You can go to your court house (depending on the state your in) and they generally offer divorce kits (mine was $100) or you can look for your state online and purchase a kit off line but there generally more then the courts..

The cost of a divorce depends not on whether you agree to everything it depends on your state laws, the cost of lawyers (and you BOTH should have one of your own), court costs, filing fees etc.

Yes, when there is nothing to settle and in agreement it is substantially cheaper. I would actually attempt to do the filing myself (I've done it myself). It is substantially cheaper.

Good luck!

Definitively it will be cheaper and you may not need lawyer at all so you pay only court fees.
