Probably the Dauer 962 LM - with a top speed over 250mph and a 0-60mph in under 2.5 seconds, it's very quick. And as the non-produiction car Porsche 956/962) that it is based on has quite a few Le Mans wins to it's credit, as well as a the all time Nordschleife lap time (a little under 7 minutes as I recall).

And while based on a car produced elsewhere, Dauer was recognized as an independent manufacturer by FIA for homogulation purposes in 1994 (and the car's VIN would identify it as a production car from Dauer).

my vote: The Bugatti Veyron 16/4

fastest car without a jet engine that you could still drive on the street. its not a home built car or a prototype.. for 2 million bucks you can buy one.

street legal or not? Modified from stock or not? Pretty broad question.
Koenigsegg CC, 245 mph, anyone find one faster? This was the estimated top speed, btw

Who really knows.... all these car company's claim this and claim that... I know the claim of 22mph for the 500HP mustang is so ludicrous.... I hope there isn't one person alive that believes that. I don't believe most of what these car company's claim anymore..... im tired of all these lies.....
