I would say Magic Kingdom for sure, the best of the parks. All the things your kids can enjoy and probably even you and your husband. Now for the second. Animal kingdom is great but its alot more about the animals than anything else. It was one of my favorites definetly, but if you want more rides, I'd go to MGM Studios. I loved it so much they have alot of cool stuff there. Plus, i think your husband would like MGM alot!
and just one thing, when Mrs Ben Dover said tower of terror was in epcot, it's actually in MGM Studios, just to clear that up. But the ride is loads of fun!

My family went there for vacation after my highschool graduation this year and loved it. My sister and I were 15 and 18 at the time. We stayed for a week and went to each park at least once.
Animal Kingdom was good, but not my favorite. It would probably be great for younger children, though. There were many attractions and a few rides, so don't go in with the misconception that it is a large zoo.
MGM is great, and would be a nice compromise for you and your husband and the kids. When we went, there were different cartoon-type attractions featuring the Little Mermaid, Toy Story, and Cars as well as live action Indiana Jones shows and Star Wars type thrillers. There is definitely something for everyone here.
I would steer clear of Epcot. It basically showcases several nations from around the world. Very informative, but lacks the glitter and lights needed to interest kids.
Last, and definitely not least is Magic Kingdom. If you could visit only one park, you'd pick this one. This is the most versatile park, with many rides- all of which I would deem appropriate for a ten-year-old and most of which would interest a five-year-old. Also a big perk, there are daily and nightly parades that wind through the paths around Cinderella's Castle. And, if you're willing to pay some money, your kids can dress up and share a meal with Cinderella and the rest of the Disney princesses. (You'll need to get reservations).
There are several books available to help you plan your trip, and I'd take advantage of them. My family used a book called "Walt Disney World with Kids", and it was our lifesaver. We sqeezed in more with this book than we ever would have been able to if we went in blind. It gives brief synopses of the different parks and rides, as well as restrictions and age appropriateness.
Also, I would recommend staying on-site at a Disney resort. There are various price ranges, and the All Stars Resorts are very reasonably priced. Going this route, you will avoid parking fees in the parks and be the recipient of special "Magic Hours" that allow you to either come into the park early or stay late on certain days. Check out the disney world website for special packages online. My family of four stayed for 6 days (hotel and park admission) for around 1,500 dollars.
Do your homework, check for deals, and be ready for one of the best vacations of your life! (And expect the kids to fall asleep before you finish the ride back to your hotel...it's definitely not a sit-back-and-chill vacation)
Have Fun!

Very many choices... my husband, and 2 kids went there last January.
I would definitley suggest Magic Kindgom- it's good for all ages and has alot of things for young kids to do- it's so magical for them! A definite family pleasure! MGM Studios was fairly good too, but not for a 5 year old. Blizzard Beach is an AMAZING water park if you were thinking about those. Other than that, I would suggest Animal Kingdom if you have kids... the animals are great for MANY ages, and they have a great new rollercoaster (heard to be AMAZING)
Anyways, I hope I helped you a little bit for planning!
Also, check out www.waltdisneyworld.com

Definitely magic Kingdom and MGM. Animal Kingdom is like a zoo and Epcot is dated. I personally think UNiversal Studios is better than any of the Disney Parks. But a five year old would enjoy disney more. Anyways, have a safe trip and enjoy

it all depends on your taste and your childrens taste and if you want to do a water park. I say magic kindgom because there is so much to do for all ages and shows to see and so many fun things. The other parks it is hard to pick i would say look at disney.com for everything they have and then you can pick from that MGM is prob my favorite park of all because of what it contains and the theme of it but for hte 5 year old unless they can sit during shows and stuff not the best park for the child. Epoct is great again harder i feel for the little children great when you get older. IT does depend on each child and you know them best so it is a toss up also you can call disney and speak to them about it too. good lukc and have fuN

I assume you are talking about Disney World in Orlando. The two parks I would rate #1 and #2 for kids is: #1 the Magic Kingdom (the name says it all), and #2 the Animal Kingdom (fun, and you might learn a thing or two!)

Well, having kids the age you do, definitely go to the Magic Kingdom. They have rides for dad and really fun things for the kids to do. After that, if your family likes zoos, the Animal Kingdom is really awesome, but you really only need a good half day to do it. Epcot and MGM are the least young kid friendly, but are well worth the trip.
