he deserved to die for what he did and although i personally wouldnt like to watch someone be executed, we have to remember he was a very evil person towards his own people. he abused and humiliated people for years ,so perhaps in a way they felt filming him was the final humiliation for a once powerful feared man.closure as they say in america.there can never be forgiveness for what he did and hopefully his death will serve as a reminder of the devastation he caused to families all over.

Yes. As grisly as it seems, it was essential to film Saddam Hussein's entire hanging to prove his death was not faked or that his body was substituted at the last moment.
The officially released video, unfortunately, did not show the entire execution. The world does have proof because of the clandestine recording.
The tauntings of Saddam by his guards reflected very badly on the procedure, and was extremely unprofessional. However, if it had been *your* brother, father, or uncle who had been tortured and murdered by Saddam during his heyday, the desire to "get back" at him would be extremely difficult to resist.
Yes, viewing an execution is macabre and remininscent of the public executions during the French Revolution (re; Tale of Two Cities), but a necessary means of proving his death actually occurred.

It was their mobile phone, but having said that, why the rest of us
would be bothered with his consequence is questionable, if the effect was to watch the whole thing with zeal and watch it repeatedly with more zeal then its a benefit for the viewers, but it was his thing and couldn't care less how he looked and how long it took and what colour the walls of the room in which he was hung were, but then he was their leader for such a long time that the close of his history with them should be as they chose it, think they were right.

yes. simple. bad man got dead. Has happened for years and [capital punishment] still happens in some states in America in front of a studio audience.
The French only brought the guillotine indoors in the last century. Women are hanged from cranes in some countries in the middle of towns for all to see.

it was just an unofficial thing though wasnt it? the person was cloak and dagger about it. so they knew it was wrong. you get criticed for asking for a link but as its out there i was intrigued as people are on about it all the time. that doesnt mean i think it was right to film. it was wrong but it puts rumours to rest like is he really dead. people still say elvis is alive,so that wont happen in this case.

of course not no matter who it was or what they had done filming someone being killed is just sick and hardly shows a civilised society, i assume u are referring to the phone videos that were taken of the actual hanging not the official film

Why not, they fillmed the execution of the poor women recently, did any one condemn that? It provided evidence of the end of the despot, for that reason it was needed probably.

would have to say yes, at least to the point of proving that he was hung and is dead.
the rest of what we hear is garbage. the factionists that haranged saddam at the hanging have gotten all the coverage they should ever get

In effect it was a public execution. No civilised country does that; it's completely unnecessary
