Well I been dating this guy for 3 years now off and on just going out here and there and having sex I really like him but want more how do I tell him? we are both very shy but we have the same personality.

This is coming from a guys prospective. Just one day sit down and talk to him just let him know how you feel. Then ask how he feels. It might hurt you or it might not but you won't know until you just break down and tell him. If you don't you could push him away. There is really no wrong or right way to tell him. The best way would be in person though even though you being a female if he don't feel the same way will hurt you. Just prepare for the worst when you do it so if it is bad it doesn't hurt you as bad. Although if its good when you tell him it will cheer you up a little and relieve somethings.

Maybe do it when you have a few drinks in ya or something os you will loosen up and if he's weirded out you can blame it in drinking lol.
